Hip Hop Classes for Kids
Children are introduced to the concepts of music, rhythm, movement, and grooves. They will develop skills to observe and mimic the dance instructor while learning choreography.
Hip Hop Classes: Street Dance for all Ages
Made popular in the US, a wide range of styles have taken shape since the 1970s
Every Tiny Dance Life class begins with a welcome song or rhyme which welcomes each child by name and sets a positive tone for class. We want to ensure that each child feels included, comfortable and welcomed into this unique environment. The simple act of stating a child’s name holds great importance. It lets them know that they are seen and appreciated and that no matter what has happened prior to class, we are happy they are with us.

Learning Hip Hop in a comfortable and welcoming Environment
Children are introduced to the basic structure of Hip Hop
In Tiny Dance Life Hip Hop classes, children will begin with a warm up. Warm up is essential because it gets your child’s body and mind ready to work to ensure that they will have a productive and enjoyable class. We focus on keeping our knees bent and our feet grounded. Warm up will be taught to hip hop music that will get your child excited and ready to move! In class, every child is encouraged to feel the music, find the beat, and embrace their own individual style.

Now Let’s Hone Those Dance Moves!
After warm up, the children will work on basic hip hop poses, freestyle and technique
From there, students learn a choreographed routine from the instructor. Learning a routine requires brain power and focus. This is an excellent form of mental exercise for your brain as well as physical.

Wrapping up Each Dance Class with a Cool-Down & Social Time
Every Hip Hop class will end with a cool down. This will allow everyone to catch their breath and return their heart rate close to resting.
Cooling down your body after a dance class or any form of vigorous exercise is extremely important. Our cool-down will involve doing the movement at a slower pace so that everyone can catch their breath and lower their heart rate. Once cool-down is complete, the hip hop class for kids has ended. We will then open up the room to do a quick check-in and allow children to speak to one another and share how they are feeling before we say goodbye.
